December has come upon us so fast. The year seems to have flown by. The Christmas lights are switched on, Christmas trees smell of pine, the post office is beginning to have longer and longer queues. People are sending greeting cards to relatives near and far away. You can get a sense of Christmas in the air. Santa is on his way.

It’s a great time of year to reflect on what you have already achieved this year. Perhaps you did something you have always wanted to do. Perhaps you have started that course or even changed your job. Perhaps you just got that little bit of work done in the house that you have been putting off.  Perhaps you have bought a house, got engaged, or got married. Perhaps you have started a business. Perhaps you have started to work on problem areas in your life, so you can get them sorted.

It is as important to celebrate what you have achieved, as it is to set goals. It’s important to remember your achievements, no matter how small or how big. You have achieved these! Often you think about what you would like to do, but spending time looking at what you have achieved this year is as important. In your hurry through life, TAKE THE TIME to reflect on the postive stuff you have achieved. It will inspire you. It will start a train of thought that puts you on the right track. One that carries you along, drives you. One that motivates you.

Richard Branson does this every year. He will sit and jot down all he has achieved. It’s a reminder of success. So maybe take a leaf from his book and be proud of the positive changes you have made in 2016.

We have more ability to do great things that we think.  As Napoleon Hill said “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”.

It’s time to reflect, refocus and review. Really look at the positive changes you have made in 2016, and whether they are very small or very big, remember YOU have achieved them. Celebrate and be proud of your achievements.
